It seems like the last two weeks went by WAY too fast! Stratton's birthday was so much fun and here he is showing how old he is!
I love this picture because of the look on Stratton's face. He is so HAPPY! He once told Blake and I that he wished he could live with Sarah because her house has a Wii. I'm sure he will come up with another excuse for wanting to live there!
Here is Strat mixing up the frosting for his cupcakes. He loves to help in the kitchen and always helps me mix, but his favorite is to cook the little bits of ham for ham fried rice.
Such precision! Stratton is concentrating on frosting the cupcakes so intently! I put a little bit of frosting in a tupperware after we were done and he kept getting in the fridge for a little taste. He is definitely a boy after my own heart!
Later on Strat's birthday Blake's family came over and he got a couple of cool things. A new Batman costume (along with some other Batman stuff) and a cool new remote control Hummer. Watching Stratton open these gifts was priceless! He was so excited it showed in his comments: "Oh! A batman costume!" "I knew I would get a big monster truck!" "Vroom, vroom, yeah!"
We tried the Hummer out and it was funny to watch Marley try to catch it. Stratton got pretty good at driving it around. The next morning he said, "Oh yah, my monster truck is still here!"
The day after Stratton's birthday was his Batman party and the guest of honor? BATMAN!!! Unfortunately Joker stole Stratton's birthday cake and Batman had to come and help the kids find it. There were clues around the neighborhood and the kids ended up finding the Joker and successfully spraying him with 'spider webs' left by Batman's friend, Spiderman!
The Joker is down!
Stratton turned to Batman and said, "Why don't you ever smile?" Batman said, "I don't smile." Stratton was in awe the entire time Batman was near. He just stared and did whatever Batman said. In the morning he said, "I can't believe Batman really came to my birthday party!" Thanks for everyone who gave Stratton a gift or wished him Happy Birthday and thank you Batman for being the best present ever!
This past week at preschool the kids brought zoo animals in homemade cages. This is Stratton's monkey in the cage. Stratton had fun helping with the project, but when I came to the preschool zoo that day he couldn't have cared less about the whole thing. All the kids were showing off their animals and were very excited, Stratton on the other hand went outside and played with his cousin.

Our friends from Logan (well near Logan anyway) always win things on the radio. They have been to 4 or 5 events by winning tickets from the radio. They either have really good luck or they live in a small town! They won tickets to the circus and had a couple of extra so we tagged along. Stratton had a blast with the other boys there and they all were on the edge of their seats watching the circus the entire time. I asked Stratton what his favorite part was and he said, The motorcycles and the girls on the rings that twirled.
Here is Marley and Tiff's baby Sawyer totally flirting. Marley loves babies and likes to show them where their eyes, nose and mouth are. Unfortunately, sometimes she accidentally pokes them...
Marley was a challenge. She loved the beginning and was okay until intermission. After intermission she was crying, whining, wanted to get down, kicking the people in front of us, and other annoying things. We were just about to leave because she was being so rotten when we noticed that the elephants were about to come back out. Marley loves elephants! As soon as I told her the elephants were coming she stopped fussing and looked for them. As soon as she saw them she sat, perfectly content while the elephants were performing. I have to admit that the elephants were my favorite part too!! Here is Marley pointing at her favorite part of the show.
A bad picture, but it shows what Marley was pointing at.
Thanks Ty and Tiff for your very good luck!! We love seeing you!

What a cool birthday! I might have to borrow your idea of having a super hero guest at the party! That's so cool!
