The Johnson Fam Comes for a Visit

We were so excited to have Dad's family come for a visit this month. They came on an exciting day (we found out that our baby will be a girl) and it was Mom's birthday (what a great birthday present!) Anyway, Stratton was very happy to see them get off the plane. He wasn't too sure about K, but later in the trip he wouldn't leave her alone for a minute! Right after they flew in we drove through some pretty hectic traffic and went to the Sonics game.

DAY TWO
The next day was rainy (imagine that) and we decided to go up to Snoqualmie Falls.

We took the 1/2 mile hike to the viewing area at the bottom of the falls, which really seemed like a mile and a half, just ask A! It was muddy and steep, but we all made it and it was worth it. S and M really liked watching the water.

We told these two to hug each other and S put M in a headlock and wouldn't let go!

DAY THREE

We were all supposed to go to Vancouver, CANADA this day, but we had a few glitches with birth certificates. We sent T and K in Dad's super shakey truck (it's getting old). They had an adventure there. Back in Seattle we decided to take S and M to the Children's Museum where they just got a brand new Bob the Builder exhibit. We won't tell you that we didn't have enough seats for everyone in our car so S had to ride in the very back of the 4-runner...Anyway here are some pictures from the museum.

This was M's favorite place to be! She probably slid down the slide twenty times or more.

Yep, S looks like a stud in those safety glassess!
Sailing was fun, until M decided to jump ship.
This is Mom's favorite picture! Dad and A are playing drums that only they could see, it was hilarious!
(Mom shouldn't make too much fun of Dad and A!)

DAY FOUR

On this day we all went into Seattle to see some of the tourist areas that Seattle is famous for. We first took a little (and I mean it was SHORT!) train ride to get to the market.

Pikes Place Market!

The waterfront with the two cutest cousins ever!

T took S and M into the fountain at the Seattle Center. S enjoyed the experience, M not so much!

It was a fun time and we were so glad that they could come out and experience a bit of Washington, now if only we could have more visitors. . .

Valentine Cookies

Yah, we made some heart-shaped sugar cookie.

S loved helping make the cookie dough, he thought we made it just for him to eat. He thought things just couldn't get any better when we made the frosting though! He kept licking it (don't tell the people we gave them to). S only wanted to frost using the red frosting, even though he could have used pink or purple. Of course he wanted the red, it stains the best!!!

Mmmmm, Mmmmm good!
S's concentration was at an all-time high as he frosted his cookie! (We will have to do this more often.)

Awwh! Isn't that cute. (See the frosting around his lips?)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Here are a couple of funny pictures from this week. S took all the books off his shelf and then decided it was a great place to lay down. Have a great Valentines day and don't forget to kiss your sweetheart!

Uncle J Comes to Seattle!

J and S by the water in downtown Seattle. Yep, they both have ridiculous looking hats with pom-pom things on the top.

When J got here S gave him a huge hug. They were really excited to see each other.

J got to experience "the market". He was lucky that it wasn't raining!

S got to have some fun too, on the carousel!

It wouldn't be a trip to Seattle without going up in the Space Needle. J's two favorite things: heights and elevators!!!

Mom and Dad were relaxing from their duties while J took over playing trucks with S. This is S's favorite thing to do and if you don't do it right he will let you know.

You can't tell, but this is the sign outside of the Seattle Temple.

It was a quick trip, but S loved having his uncle come and play with him. They had three movie nights in a row and got to go to the Children's Museum and on a shopping spree (J's idea). When we took J to the airport S was bound and determined that he was going to go "with J on the airplane".
S was so sad when J had to leave and he had trama for days after. He woke up the next morning and said, "Where's J?" He still asks sometimes where J is, we keep telling him that he is in Utah and that we will be back with him soon.
