SNOWBIRD

We were able to go up to Snowbird and spend a few days before our family of three becomes four. S wanted to go "up high in the mountains" so that is what we did.

We took the tram to the top of the mountain and showed S the valley. He was mostly impressed with the rocks and slush he found up there.

After the tram we went to the Alpine slide. S wasn't too sure about it at first, but once he got on he LOVED it and screamed the whole way down. Afterward he wanted to go again and again.

Next we took S fishing. At first we had no luck so Dad left the line in the water while he went to get some different bait. Of course while Dad was gone Mom and S caught a fish! Mom had no idea what to do with it!! It was a good thing there was a nice gentlemen sitting on the bench behind her that stepped up and helped her unhook the fish and throw it back. When Dad got back with the Velveeta cheese he and S caught about 10 fish in a row.

S was fascinated with the fish when they were in the water, but wanted nothing to do with them once they were out of the water! Dad tried to get him to kiss the fish, S said, "NO WAY!"

Here is the prize picture. This is the picture where we got S to stand by the fish without crying. Dad says the picture makes the fish look smaller then it really is....

Eggs and Swimming

Weird title eh! S's uncle J had a quail lay eggs in his front yard. Then along came his cat, Sp, and ate up the mommy and daddy quail. The eggs were left on their own. S was really interested in them and wanted to crack them (like he has seen his mom do to other eggs). We tried to save them, but since the eggs had been left alone for so long, they weren't going to hatch. S still had fun holding them and seeing the nest.

Every summer Grandma and Grandpa buy a pass to their local swimming pool for all the grandkids to enjoy. We almost go every day and the kids love it!

S wanted to try goggles in the pool to be just like his older cousins. They didn't last long...

Although it is a swimming pool, S hasn't quite gotten used to the idea that water gets in his eyes and ears. He constantly does a fake little cry if someone splashes him. It is really strange he has no problem splashing other people.

First Weeks in Utah

We are back in Utah after several months in Washington. Dad and S were so tired from the move, they slept on and on. Actually this is how they look every morning...

As soon as we got home Grandma and Grandpa started spoiling S. Si had a truck like this and S really liked it (who woudn't?), so they bought him one just like it. S and Si have a blast racing them around, filling them with rocks, and of course fighting over them (although they look exactly the same!)

Mom's little brother J plays for the High School soccer team. S had fun going to every game he could. During the first half of the game he was really involved and would yell, "Go J!" The second half was always a bit long for him so he would go play. This is a picture of S and Si checking out the softball game going on behind the soccer field. All you can see is their cute bums sticking out under the covering.

A couple of weeks after being in Utah we had a family reunion. Here is S sporting his name tag. He is intently watching the Spongebob pinata. Here are more pictures from the reunion...

Get that candy!!!

We've also been to Hogle Zoo. Aunt A decided to sacrifice one of her Wednesdays off and spend the day at the zoo with some of her favorite neices and nephew. What a nice aunt!

It has been wonderful being back with our families and spending time with them!!!
