Easter Weekend

We began the Easter festivities with dying eggs with both sides of the family. Stratton enjoyed this so much! He also loves the color blue and made about 20 blue eggs in a row. (See below for his blue thumb!)

While we were dying eggs, Marley was content in the high chair eating cheerios.

My side of the family had an Easter/birthday party (hence the cupcake). I told Stratton to look at me and he promptly closed his eyes and gave me this sign.
Here are some Easter egg hunting pictures...
The loot!

Easter egg hunt #2!
Lately, whenever I tell Stratton I am going to take his picture he does some strange pose.
After I take the picture he says, "I wanna see, I wanna see!" I show him and he thinks he is so funny and he laughs hysterically. Here is Marley with her Robin Eggs. She likes how they shake, but she won't know what they taste like for a while.
Every year Blake's dad fixes a fantastic Easter Feast. This year he had some help from Sarah and it was just as fantastic! Russ even decorated the kid table!!

This is just a strange Easter present from Aunt Ash????
Happy Easter!

Marley Update

Marley has teeth!!! And she has had for over a month now. She got them at the end of January and I just haven't been able to get a good picture of them until now. She just finished eating a cracker in her high chair and if you check out the picture more clearly you can see the messy face she has.

Besides having teeth, she is crawling all over. At first it was just a little crawl here and there, but in the past two weeks it is not crawling, but exploring. This has been a big challenge for me and I'm sure I'll get used to it - she is into everything! Stratton calls her Marley if she isn't bugging him and 'baby' if she is. If I hear the words, "Baby...no no" then I know that Marley has destroyed or is about to destroy one of Stratton's creations. Stratton has been pretty good about it so far, but sometimes patience wears thin. Another fun thing Marley does is pull herself up on things. She has been doing this for quite a while, but she just learned that she can stand while holding onto things. Stratton is always amazed when she does this.
Other fun things Marley is doing...She says mom, dad, trat (for Strat), do (for dog). She will raise both hands in the air and squeel in delight and when her dad comes in he always raises his hand to say 'hi', which she does right back to him. She loves babies and kids and tries to 'eat' any that she sees! She is basically a happy baby, although she is still having some bad nights.

We visited my brother in Pocatello and of course 'Aunt Kaela' got out her craft supplies for Stratton to create with. She also supplied the treats and here Strat is downing the Junior Mints. I'm not sure who he gets his love of Junior Mints from.

The past week has been awesome weather and Strat has loved being outside. His favorite things to ride are his bike and this scooter. He goes so fast on it and doesn't pay attention to what he's doing...it won't be long until there is a crash!
