First Day in Seattle

We drove to Seattle and arrived on Saturday October 1st. S was great on the drive from Utah due to the technology of portable DVD players, in addition to his wonderful aunt and uncle!!! As we got closer to Seattle it was like entering a huge forest, but when you look a little closer between the tall, green pine trees there are buildings and yes, civilization. As soon as we arrived at our apartment, Dad was there to greet us and whisk us off to downtown Seattle. We first visited Pike Place Market which was interesting all in itself. After navigating about 1,000 sets of stairs with a toddler we reached the much talked about market. They really do throw fish around! The flowers were everywhere and we couldn't resist buying some fresh blueberries and fresh raisen bread. If you ever need a really unique gift for someone that is the place to buy it! They have the strangest things you have ever seen! After our time at the market Dad showed us around the Sonics Facility. He is enjoying his time as an intern with the SuperSonics that he began in September and we were glad he knew his way around. He also showed us the Space Needle at the Seattle Center. S decided to sleep through this part, but woke up in time to get some Seattle fudge. All in all it was exciting and neat to see the city!

The welcome travelers!
