Pumpkin Carving

Last night we carved our pumpkins. Stratton touched the touched the pumpkin guts one time and said he couldn't touch them anymore - Not like him at all. Marley on the other hand, dug right in. I carved the two pumpkins on the left while Blake and Stratton did the one on the right. To their credit, it was a higher level of difficulty, a thicker pumpkin and Stratton was helping. Here is what they look like in the dark...
This past month Marley has been potty training. She has a sticker chart and I told her that her Grandpa would take her on the carousel if she went potty a certain number of times. She did, yahoo! - (and she hasn't had a pee accident for a week and a half). This is Marley enjoying the messy cookie her Grandpa bought her after the carousel ride. She was so happy! You might think that potty training is going really well...pee is going great! Poo on the other hand...not so great. Marley pooped on the floor this morning! YUCK! Any suggestions?
Lately, Stratton's favorite thing is the skate park. I was very apprehensive to take him there at first because of the crowd that is there and I have heard some stories where the 'locals' aren't very nice to little kids. He begged and so we went. We chose a time when there wasn't very many people there and he did okay. He was very cautious and that is mostly because of me. The next time he went he acted like he owned the place. He was even trying to do a few tricks. We make sure he has all his gear on for these adventures!

Impressive!! The pumpkins, the potty-training, and the skate park. It doesn't suprise me at all that Stratton can already hold his own there!
