Idaho Trip

The second week of January we were able to go visit my brother who recently moved Idaho. Stratton has been so confused with the move since my brother and sister-in-law used to live with us. When we started tearing out the old kitchen Stratton said, "Dad, did you ask Akaela if that is okay?" It is hard to explain that the house is now our house. The first day most of the crew drove to Grand Targhee and went snowboarding. They described this as "heaven on earth". The snow was like powder and it didn't hurt at all to fall. Blake said it would have been the perfect opportunity for me to learn. I on the other hand decided I'd better stay with Marley who is still breastfeeding. Anyway, Stratton, Marley and I stayed back with Kaela where Stratton loved playing with Tundra, although I'm not so sure that this love was reciprocated.
The next day we went snowmobiling...as you can see we had a few problems. First we slid off the road and got slightly stuck. The only way to describe the road we were driving on was a sheet of black ice. We were going about 10 miles an hour and slid off in slow motion. Blake very calmly said, "Hold on everybody." Once to our destination we found that one of the snowmobiles wouldn't work. Here is a picture of the guys trying to fix it. They worked on it for about 1/2 hour and wahoo, it started!
While we were waiting for the snowmobile Stratton was having a great time in the snow. The drifts went up to his thighs so whenever he went off-road it was slow going.
Stratton made a fantastic snow angel!!
The crew was going on a long drive so we took Stratton on a few short rides before hand. Stratton had so much fun and wanted to ride over and over again.
MARLEY
Here is Marley at 7 months old. She is getting two bottom teeth, she loves to clap, she says dadadadada and waves her arm when someone says 'hi'. She also is getting ready to crawl, although none of us are ready for her to do that!!!
