Some of this year's Christmas Memories...
A few days before Christmas we made sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies for Santa.
Stratton was so lucky to get to help make the dough too, with the help of his cousin and his Grandma Jeannette.
He also was able to make homemade chocolates with his Great Grandma Johnson. She and Aunt Radene make the best chocolates around!! They are passing on the gift to all the kids. They made chocolate covered cinnamon bears (yummy!) and chocolate covered pretzels.
This is at our annual Johnson Family Christmas party. All the new babies get a 'my first Christmas' outfit from Aunt Radene. This was Marley's outfit...so cute.
The night before Christmas Eve we were at Poppy and Grandma Jeannette's house when there was a knock at the door. It was SANTA CLAUS!! What a big surprise! He asked each child what he or she wanted for Christmas and then gave them a candycane. Stratton has been pouring over toy magazines for weeks now and asking, "Can I have this for Christmas, can I have that for Christmas?" We keep telling him, "You have to ask Santa, you have to ask Santa..." He took this literally and was in Santa's face the whole time Santa was visiting. He kept thinking of things he wanted and telling Santa. Santa was quite surprised when Stratton asked for a real horn that he could blow into.
On Christmas Eve the kids acted out the Nativity. Stratton was a shepherd and Marley was baby Jesus.
CHRISTMAS MORNINGStratton was very excited on Christmas morning, although he had to be woken up about 8:30. He got the 'big train' he wanted!
It is a good thing Santa didn't forget the real horn for Stratton. This is his prized possession!! He does a great job blowing in it and making a lot of noise.
Santa brought Marley this shirt that reads: "I Love Bob." Santa has quite the sense of humor!
The worn out kids on Christmas day!! Jeri's dad (aka, Poppy) loves to rock the kids to sleep! Marley slept for about two hours like this.
Most people who see Marley think she looks just like a Cabage Patch Doll. Marley's Aunt Sarah decided to get her one for Christmas that looks just like her!!
